3rd Day of Christmas in a Jar - Monkey Bread

Monkey Bread in a Jar

Your friends and house guests will go bananas over this monkey bread. Monkey bread is yummy and delicious treat sure to please. Your guest will love to be served their individual monkey bread jars for breakfast or dessert, or pop a lid on them and give as gifts!

You will need:

  • 4 - pint jars (I used the wide mouth Kerr jars)
  • 10 refrigerated biscuits – cut each into 6 pieces
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter (melted)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

Serve warm fresh out of the oven for your guest. If you are making as gifts, make your monkey bread within 3 days of giving as gifts.

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray mason jars with cooking spray and place them into a deep sided baking tray.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix together sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon. Dip each biscuit piece into the melted butter and then into the sugar/cinnamon mixture. Coat well.

Step 3

Evenly distribute coated biscuit pieces between the jars. There will be 15 pieces per jar.

Step 4

Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes until monkey bread has risen and is golden and bubbly. They may be sticking over the top, but once they cool a bit, they will fall back down. Allow jars to cool before handling.
